Depot briefings that stick after the consultant leaves

Half-day closeout briefings fade unless supervisors reuse a simple van checklist. Notes from three Johor Bahru depots we revisited.

Half-day closeout briefings feel productive on the day. Two weeks later, vans often drift back to old habits unless supervisors keep a physical checklist in the cab. On revisits to three depots around Johor Bahru, the teams that laminated a one-page closeout card still referred to it during morning load-outs.

The card listed only five prompts: confirm scope with the customer, note parts wait honestly, capture the photo set, obtain sign-off when present, and choose complete versus reopen before leaving the driveway. Anything longer got ignored.

After we leave

Ask the supervisor to pick one incomplete category for the Monday huddle for a month. Rotate the category. That rhythm keeps the briefing alive without turning every meeting into a lecture about the field-service app.
